​​​Global Collaboration

KAUST aims to be one of the world’s great institutions of research, and the University has already established a significant global footprint in key scientific domains, with1,327 collaborating institutions and 3,876 co-authored publications.  Europe leads the way with497 collaborating institutions, followed by the U.S. with 314 institutions; the Asian and Pacific areas account for 360, while Africa, the Middle East and South America account reactively for 64, 58 and 34. This interactive map is designed to allow a customized display of KAUST-collaborations (universities/research institutes) around the globe. OSR currently monitors over 300 awarded projects in disciplines covering the entire scope of KAUST’s research.​ ​
